empty bench howard park - west palm beach
It was a beautiful morning when I took this shot, I thought the mood of the picture would be much different. When I saw the print I felt lonely and sad. Everyone that I have shown this to has the same reaction. Do you?
I get the same impression of intense despair, but I can't figure out why. It looks like it should give a feeling of hope, it's not exactly as it the bench has fallen into disrepair, it's obvious someone still cares about it. I think it's the lack of people, but I love the shot and wouldn't change anything.
