okay, almost everything is back in order. I only lost about two weeks worth of work from the computer. i'm hoping the money i dumped into the system yesterday will save my work in the event that i have another system meltdown. got myself on of those nifty external hard drives with a one button back up feature. i did my first back-up right after everything was setup and it took over two hours to do! i'm hoping it was because it was the first time and that the next time it will be quicker
i still need to install photoshop and illustrator and rearrange files back into a more logical order. i also need to come up with a labeling system for my images. anyone have any ideas?
for what it's worth i've had a real bad experience ordering from Abe's of Maine, www.abesofmaine.com, stay away from them. very unprofessional.
