Okay, honestly it was cheap to get there and cheap to stay. I think total we spent $3000 per peron for air fare, lodging, food, guide, admissions and tips.
Second, I don't know anyone personally that has been to Thailand and I like to go places my friends haven't.
Third, I love Thai food. I know it's a lame reason.
