to the Mon village

The Mon are an ethnic group in Thailand. They came to this area around the river from Myanmar (Burma) to the north. The owner of the River Raft Hotel has allowed them to live on his land and hires them to work in the hotel. The owner has also provided many improvement to the village; these covered walkways for one.
